MagecTech

MagecTech is a company that develops and sells disinfectant technologies using UVC lights to kill viruses and bacteria.

I first worked on the recolour for the logo, I made a grid of multiple versions with different colours but after making the UV purple iteration, we decided that was the one. The colour scheme of the logo then informed the colours used on the MagecAir box which I started by pulling apart one of the current boxes and taking pictures so that I could lay out each piece within my design software. I took inspiration from Apple's package design in which their products are boxed in clean and minimalist packages. I chose black as the main colour of the box to compliment the purple elements in the design such as the logo and light beam being emitted by the MagecAir. I included a picture of the MagecAir on the box to demonstrate what the product actually did and had the light beam overflow onto the front of the box to give the feeling of the description on the front, "UVC Disinfectant Light", being illuminated by the device. I then took all the information that was all over the original box and kept it to only the bottom so that it was out of the way but still complied with regulations.
